This pie recipe was given to me by my friend Stephanie. I got it just in time to make about a dozen pies with the apples from the trees outside my house. This is the best apple pie I have ever tasted, and it turns out great every time!
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
2 Tbs sugar
1/2 cup oil
2 Tbs milk
Sift together dry ingredients. Mix in oil and milk. Press into a 9 inch pie pan. Slice 4-5 green apples thinly and fill pie pan.
Filling:
3/4 cup sugar
2 Tbs melted butter
1 tsp cinnamon
Combine filling ingredients and spread over apples in pan.
Topping:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
6 Tbs melted butter
Combine above ingredients. Crumble over pie. Bake on 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes or until topping is browned and apples are bubbly.
