Budgeting and Menus #2

So last week I took a picture of my groceries and everything, but never had the time to post. So we are just gonna forget about last week. Even though I got some really awesome deals! This week I was able to use lots of coupons! Some of my best deals were:

1. Elf Double Stuffed Cookies: B1G1 at Publix. Ben loves these suckers. Paid $1.85
2. U by Kotex 18 count liners: At Walmart for $1.24. Use a $2.00 coupon = $.76 moneymaker!!
3. Frusion Fruit Smoothies: At Walmart for $2.98. Use a $1.00 coupon = $1.98

Tips for this week:
-Don't shop only at Walmart because you think it's cheaper. Publix often times has cheaper and better produce!
-Try to use ingredients in multiple dishes. Ex: Publix bakery (4 count) hoagie rolls are going to be used in the meatball subs and roast beef sandwiches.

Menu:
Monday: Poppyseed chicken (I also add egg noodles to this recipe. Helps it to feed more!)
Cost: $6
Tuesday: Meatball Subs (I would half this recipe and only use ground turkey)
Cost: $7
Wednesday: Roast beef sandwiches (In the crock pot put roast, 1 pkg onion soup mix, and 2 cups beef broth. Let cook on low for 6-8 hours. Shred and put on hoagies!)
Cost: $7
Thursday: Sloppy Joe's (using Great Value mix with 1 can tomato paste) with homemade hamburger buns
Cost: $5
Friday: Baked Spaghetti
Cost: $8
Saturday: Biscuits and Sausage
Cost: $2.50

I have also been trying to learn how to bake yeast bread. So far it has been a delicious experiment! Here are the things I have tried so far:

Homemade Pizza Crust
Cinnamon Swirl Bread

Tips for bread making:
-I bought the big jar of yeast and it seems to activate much better than the little packets.
-When the dough is rising I put my oven on warm and place the bowl of dough inside with the door cracked.
-My stand mixer is my best friend. The dough hook is fantastic!
