The other night I had a dream where I was eating a chocolate cheesecake pie. So when I woke up the next morning, I decided to make it. I made my pie with regular cream cheese and semisweet chocolate chips, and it was pretty rich. You could use fat free cream cheese or switch out some or all of the semisweet chocolate chips with milk chocolate chips. Either way, you'll have a simple delicious dessert!
Ingredients:
1 pie crust
1 package cream cheese, softened
1/2 stick butter, softened
1/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (milk or semisweet)
1 (8 oz) tub of cool whip
Place the pie crust in a 9-in pie pan. Using a fork, poke holes in the bottom and sides of crust. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake crust until golden brown. Meanwhile, Beat cream cheese and butter until well combined. Add sugar and vanilla. Then add melted chocolate chips. Fold in cool whip. Spread in the cooled pie crust. Top with additional cool whip.
yumm, this might make it to the Thanksgiving table next week!
